first_img Roberto Soldado 1 Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino insists striker Roberto Soldado is part of his future plans.Speculation about the Spaniard’s future has been rife this summer, with reports suggesting he could be on the way out, with AC Milan interested. The 29-year-old cost Spurs a then club record £26m last summer but he managed just six Premier League goals during his first season in English football.Soldado is yet to start a league game this term, but did play and score against AEL Limassol in the Europa League last week.He is unavailable for the return leg after sustaining a strain to his back and neck but Pochettino says the forward has not played his last game for Tottenham. When pressed on whether the striker will be leaving he said: “He is here but I never talk about any rumours. I don’t talk about the speculation.“He is not in the squad because he has a problem with his neck and back. He is part of my plans for the future.”last_img
