Could Tammy Abraham win this season’s Golden Boot? The Chelsea striker is a man in form and could well end the season as the Premier League’s top scorer.Abraham has grasped his big chance in the Chelsea first team, scoring nine goals this season and forcing his way back into the England squad. And his rise has been reflected in the odds on sites like Sportsbettingdime.com, where you can track the odds from opening to big changes that are reflected too – he has moved all the way from +3700 to +700 in the market for Golden Boot winner.Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Liverpool’s former Chelsea man Mohamed Salah started as the early favourites, with Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal not far from behind.Similar to Abraham, Leicester’s Jamie Vardy has also had his odds shortened, from +1600 to +600.And the real surprise package has been Norwich’s Teemu Pukki, who has adapted well to the top flight since being a key player in the Canaries’ promotion.Pukki has found the going tougher in recent weeks, but at one stage earlier in the season his odds were drastically cut from +15000 – yes, 15 THOUSAND – to +1800.So can Abraham maintain his form and challenge for that Golden Boot? It’s certainly possible, although his first priority will be to keep his place in the Chelsea side nailed down. That place has not come easily, with Abraham impressing on loan in the Championship before finally being given a chance.Blues boss Frank Lampard has shown great faith in Abraham but has also warned him that he will lose his place the moment his form dips.Could ‘Batman’ return? That could open the door to Michy Batshuayi, who scored a cracking goal against Manchester United on Wednesday and really looked the part.It was a big chance for Batshuayi, who has so often flattered to deceive, to make a statement – and this time he did not disappoint. It was the Belgian’s fifth goal in as many games and, if Abraham goes off the boil, Batshuayi could well be a useful option later in the season.Au revoir, Olivier? While Abraham and Batshuayi battle for supremacy, Olivier Giroud appears to have reached the end of the road at Stamford Bridge.Batshuayi playing against United in place of the rested Abraham was a strong indication that Lampard sees Giroud as third-choice and it seems unlikely that the Frenchman will be at Chelsea for much longer. Two years after his move from Arsenal, Giroud seems further away than ever of being a first-choice player for the Blues. A number of clubs in his native France have been linked with him and it seems like the right time for him to move on. ALAMEDA — The Raiders will be without running back Marshawn Lynch for at least a month and it remains to be seen if he’s played his final down with the organization.Lynch sustained a groin injury in a 27-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in London. Coach Jon Gruden said Tuesday the running back was injured, the severity was not determined, and the Raiders were still gathering information. A team source confirmed an NFL Network report that the news from an MRI was not good and that Lynch would …
— … Yet another dominating performance by the 49ers defense Sunday, coupled with his visceral sideline response, has cemented Robert Saleh’s place as a breakout star among NFL coaches.Call it the product of two years of pent up frustration, but San Francisco’s 40-year-old defensive coordinator is becoming a Jon Gruden-like follow for TV cameras — as witnessed during San Francisco’s 20-7 win over the Rams in Los Angeles.Robert Saleh is a MOOD.#GoNiners pic.twitter.com/jm5g008sdr

Switching between video and audio waveforms quickly in the Source MonitorBeing able to see your audio waveform in the Source Monitor is helpful when editing a sound bite into a video editing sequence.Previously you had to go into “Settings” (the wrench icon) to switch your view to audio waveforms. Now, clicking the “Drag Audio Only” icon will switch you to waveform view. Clicking “Drag Video Only” icon again will switch you back to the video.Out of sync indicators for unlinked clipsIn previous versions of Premiere Pro you didn’t receive any kind of “out of sync” warning when you unlinked video and audio. Now when video/audio are unlinked (Shortcut: Command+L on Mac or Control + L on PC) and you move one of them, you see the sync indicators. See the red numbers in the example shot below. The clips have to overlap for this to work (this setting can be turned on/off in General Preferences): Increase/decrease Track Size with Middle mouse buttonYou can now modify your video track side when sliding the middle mouse button. I loved this feature in Adobe Audition, and am glad that it is now in Premiere Pro. I use this often to dynamically change my track size and find it a big time saver.Bonus: Holding down shift while using the middle mouse button lets you increase/decrease all your video or audio tracks at once.Timeline Display SettingsYou can now access Display Settings from the wrench icon in your video editing sequence. You can choose what to see/not see, which allows a good bit of customization. You could also make shortcuts for any of these that you use often. You can save track presets, which is handy if you want different track heights on different types of editing projects (for instance, you could have one preset for music videos, another for documentary work, etc). You can also access additional timeline options, like how to view thumbnails, from the Timeline Panel Menu:Additional ShortcutsIf you like to edit using keyboard shortcuts instead of the mouse, there are some helpful updates in Premiere Pro CC. The Premiere Pro shortcuts I particularly like are the nudge (move a clip up, down, left or right), and track targeting (move sources/targets up/down).I generally go to the Keyboard Shortcuts setting, type in what I want to do, and see if there is a shortcut for it. If no shortcut exists by default, I create my own.Additional GPU SupportPremiere Pro Creative Cloud has GPU support for both AMD & NVIDIA cards. This is a big one for a lot of Mac users (the announced Mac Pro will have 2 AMD GPU’s). Premiere Pro can also take advantage of 2 GPU’s when exporting which will speed up output. Here is a link to Adobe’s list of supported cards. I guess I need to start saving up for the yet unannounced Mac Pro release! If you have any favorite new features in Premiere Pro CC, be sure to share them in the comments below! In this post, we take a look at smaller, but helpful, new features and enhancements in Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Cloud! With the Creative Cloud update Adobe added many big new features in Premiere Pro like Link & Locate, Cloud Sync Settings, and the Audio Clip Mixer. In a previous blog post I looked at 10 features in Premiere Pro Next (before the product was announced). Now that Premiere Pro Creative Cloud is out, let’s take a look at some additional, smaller features that improve the video editing experience even more.Audio Plugins ManagerPremiere Pro supports third-party VST3 plug-ins (and Audio Units on a Mac). These are common plugin formats, so If you are already own third-party plug-ins you can now use them in Premiere Pro.Just like video plugins, there are audio plugins that perform specific tasks like noise reduction or EQ quicker or better than the default plugins in Premiere Pro. I can now use Waves Vocal Rider in Premiere Pro to automatically ride my levels (even out my audio in a natural sounding way), which can be a big time saver.Adobe has a link for third party video and audio plugins, and hopefully will add more audio ones in the future (currently only Izotope). You access the Plug-ins Manger from Preferences > Audio, or from the Audio Track Mixer panel menu.
In the movies, there are always “extras,” those people who show ups in scenes so the restaurant is full, the streets are busy, or the grocery store has customers. The “extras” don’t really have any role to play, other than being in the background. In an action or horror movie, the extras don’t fare very well. In fact, things normally end badly for them. For an extra, the world they occupy is acting upon them. They are not acting on that world; they’re just going through the motions, even though nothing they do changes the plot or improves their circumstances. The script is written for them, even though they have no lines, and their fate has long been determined. Extras are disempowered. The protagonist has a very different role. She is acting upon the world that she inhabits. What she says and does has an impact on the people and circumstances in which she finds herself. She is capable of heroic feats of mind and body, with solid thinking and solid action, even when she gets herself in trouble. The protagonist is empowered. So is the villain, for that matter. It’s more interesting and more fun to be the protagonist than to relegate yourself to being an extra. You are taking the role of the extra when you believe that the world is acting upon you, and not the other way around, believing that you have no power to change the plot into one in which you are a player—or maybe THE player. When you decide you are the protagonist, the plotline shifts. When you absolve yourself of the responsibility of accepting that you are the writer, the director, and the producer of this thing called life, you cause yourself to play a bit role in someone else’s production—instead of taking the lead and making your story your own. The fact that you believe that this production is of your own making, you recognize that you can change the plot line at any time, regardless of your past, and regardless of your age.If the story were to end in the middle chapters, the protagonist isn’t likely to have obtained what she wants. The reason the protagonists always win is that they continue their pursuit until they get what they want. No great story ever has a protagonist that doesn’t have to discover something about themselves, change, and grow in some way to succeed. No one ever knows what happens to the extras in a movie. They have no plot line, and they do very little to help themselves. You are the protagonist in this story you are writing. We are all watching to see what kind of great adventure you are going to create. Get the Free eBook! Learn how to sell without a sales manager. Download my free eBook! You need to make sales. The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) on Tuesday stepped up its protests in Darjeeling, with some activists burning copies of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) agreement, and dozens of youth getting their bare backs smashed with tubelights.Supporters of GJM lined up at Chowk Bazar and some of them started breaking tubelights on their backs, to show their anger against the West Bengal government.End of boardThe demonstration, announced by the GJM a few days ago, drew large crowds from different parts of Darjeeling. GJM supporters burnt copies of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) agreement, entered into between the Centre, West Bengal government and the GJM in 2011. The GJM leadership said the burning of the GTA agreement officially marked the end of the regional developmental board in the hills. Also Read State should solve Gorkhaland issue: Kailash Vijayvargiya “Today (Tuesday) we are burning the GTA memorandum agreement and the GTA Act that was signed in August 2011. From today, GTA would be a non-entity in the hills. We do not want the GTA anymore. The only thing we want now is Gorkhaland,” Benoy Tamang, GJM’s assistant general secretary, said.‘Boycott polls’Mr. Tamang who was present at the protest venue, said if the State government tries to impose the election here and if anyone tries to fight the election even as an independent candidate, they would have to do that at their own risk.Protests were held in all the 45 wards of the GTA as announced by the GJM leadership. Only a day before Prakash Gurung, president of the youth wing of the GJM threatened to resort to hunger-strike and self-immolation and urged the Centre to start a dialogue on the issue of separate Gorkhaland. The GJM and other parties have refused to hold any discussion with the State government. In Kolkata, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held meetings with senior administrative and police officers on the situation in Darjeeling.Senior Trinamool Congress Minister Gautam Deb, president of Darjeeling district Trinamool Congress, said that he is saddened to see such violent protest. Mr. Deb said any protests in a democratic country should follow democratic means.
